Celebration Spotlight: A Proposal in the Heart of Jackson’s Town Square

Nick approached our team with a grand vision; he wished to create an unforgettable proposal for his soulmate, Kassie. Jackson Hole, a spot layered with heartfelt memories for the couple was the perfect setting to etch another significant event into their love story. 

Together, the Benz Experience and Afternoonified Picnic Co. orchestrated a surprise proposal for the special couple, Nick and Kassie, right in the heart of Jackson Hole. This seamless undertaking was executed with dialed precision and comprehensive coordination among the transportation, security  & logistics expertise of the Benz Experience and the event coordination, creative design, floral, and charcuterie all in western-luxury style from Afternoonified Picnic Co.

Given the rustic, but luxuriant essence of both companies’ brands, and Kemo Sabe, with its commitment to heritage and enduring style, was an ideal partner to bring Nick’s vision to life.

We began curating an intimate set in Jackson's iconic Town Square  Kemo Sabe store, with a focus on infusing each element with its unique love story. We engaged with local vendors to acquire, local sweet treats, decadent cheeses, and Old Faithful Brut the classic champagne from Jackson Hole Winery all alongside a hand-made aspen arch to set the scene.

As friends and family celebrated the new couple, Kassie discovered she didn't just leave the proposal with a fiancé. Kassie also walked away with a tangible memory to last a lifetime - a bespoke hat from Kemo Sabe. The Origins of Afternoonified Picnic Co.: A Love Story 

Afternoonified Picnic Co. was founded in the Pacific Northwest by a hopeless romantics’ dream of integrating precious human experiences, with satisfying aesthetics. In January 2021, I started the company solo in the hopes of doing what I love and sharing it with others. As an avid Washingon outdooorswoman I believe there’s truly nothing better than combining decadent food, in serene landscapes enjoyed with your loved ones. Whether its a bubble picnic in the rain, a proposal with a charcuterie board by the river, or suprise chocolate dipped strawberries on a weekday, the goal is all the same: to be contented and grounded in the moment.

Afternoonified is now a husband and wife operated business that understands the value of intention in every single detail of our intimate events and elopements. Being able to create exclusive moments for friends, family, and lovers to express how much they cherish each other brings us uncomperable joy, and we are ever grateful to be able to do it for work.

Dreaming big for the company, and my husband being a helicopter pilot, we always imaged a day we could combine the two and create a truly first of its kind experience.
